There are two kinds of cheating on Tankmania, one I suppose could be classed as hacking, the other as… deviant. I will now attempt to explain both methods. Thankfully, I chose not to use GoglGourd as my name on this so hopefully I won’t get banned like I did with the whatpulse.org guide.

Cheating, the simple method:

First off, here’s the self-explanitory method of cheating that anyone with patience clicking can do. You’ll see lots of “pro cheataz 4 lyf” maps in which people try to make difficult mazes for you to cheat through and hopefully grab the flag (unless it’s an individual map, those’re just annoying for cheating).

Anyway, the object of this cheating is to get off the map, keep hidden, confusing new opponents and just generally being damned annoying. While there are many, many ways to cheat and you can always find new ways with practice on your own, I’ll be explaining just a couple of them.

The easiest way to map cheat is to get yourself wedged between something! If you spot a barricade going off the map at an angle, that could well be your chance to cheat, if you see a medi-pack you don’t need lying next to the edge of the map, go try it! Get yourself between the object and the blackness of the edge of the map and click the black spot just in front of you, keep trying, it’s unlikely you’ll get it on first click, it rarely happens if you know what you’re doing!

This doesn’t only work with the edge of the map, it applies to rivers, various objects .etc. Also, a little trick is to take in two ropes and a smoke bomb with you, use the smoke bomb to make yourself visible.. to yourself then while you can see where you’re aiming, grab yourself a tree, now the tree is a permanent way to aim from within the wall!

This is written from a tutorial I read 2 years ago. I’ve been testing much of the stuff in Richmond School since and’ve been supprised by the ease of using this.

First off, make sure you know how to make a batch file: go to notepad, type “command.com” click “Save As…” and where it says “save as type” select “All Files” save as filename “cmd.bat” and you’re done. Open the cmd.bat file a black box will show and whereever this tutorial says “in command prompt” type what it says in there ;).

Bypassing website filter

In command prompt:

ping mylbfh.co.uk

or whatever desired address.
Simply visit http://209.67.208.74/ or whatever the ping feedback is!
Send messages out over network

In command prompt:

Net Send * “Cheese in the evenings will give you nightmares. Love Andrew S.”

The domain should be available on login where you choose “just this computer” or “network ” this may not be entirely necessary, will test sometime.

The asterix (*) means it must send to every computer in the school. This can be replaced. eg:

In command prompt:

Net Send JDennis,MGoulding,Administrator,BCalvert “Cheese in the evenings will give you nightmares. Love Andrew S.”

Notice no spaces between the names, justs commas.
Adding and deleting accounts

In command prompt:

net user /ADD

This will install a username without a password

In command prompt:

net user

/ADD

With a password.

Eg.
net user JSmith 123456 /ADD

And to delete

In command prompt:

C:>net user RLongstaff /DELETE

Give account admin priveleges

In command prompt:

C:>net localgroup JohnSmith /ADD

should be replaced with the admin group which is likely to be ‘administrator’ list all groups with

In command prompt:

C:>net localgroup

Run illegal or blocked .EXE files

Remember to use cd

Create DIR and put a copy of it onto floppy disc. Run from there!

Well I used to use WhatPulse when I messed around at www.bot-depot.com playing with msn bottage (will post something on those later!). But after I stopped I got bored with WhatPulse as nobody else I knew seemed to use it. It was (according to the “last modified” dates on my other comp) 2002 when I discovered a site that let you cheat WhatPulse! The instructions were short, simple and to the point so I gave it a go and quickly became rank 8th in the USA. I stopped though, it was pretty boring jumping the queues with no real reason for doing it… I’ve come back round to using WhatPulse with friends again but am unable to find the site with the tutorial on how to cheat WhatPulse and so, dear reader, I bring you this: Cheating WhatPulse with myLBFH.co.uk!

First off, let’s get a few things straight, if you don’t know what WhatPulse.org is, turn back. Secondly, if you aren’t registered at WhatPulse, register now. Thirdly, if you think cheating won’t help, turn back. Nextly, if you’re a lazy person, not interested in how it’s done, scroll to the bottom for the lazy person checklist (with all the downloads).
Right, now we’ve filtered you activist tree-huggers out of the picture, let’s get on with the show.

Ok, in order to cheat WhatPulse we’re gonna use a tool called TSearch. I’m sorry if I’m a little vague on discriptions of programs .etc, it’s pretty new to me ;). TSearch is pretty much like Artmoney or other silly little memory debugging clients used by 12-year-olds who think they’re pro-hackers. It’s all good fun. It works by scanning open processes for byte addresses and uses something similar to REGEX to help you. Jargony, I know, but WikiPedia helped me with that.
The official site of TSearch has gone now and I’m honestly not sure what the last version was so I’ve uploaded it for you. Download v1.6 here.

Now we’re all set to get going. Make sure WhatPulse is running, you’re logged in .etc. Now open TSearch by unzipping the client and running TSearch.exe. Click on the big “Open Process” button and click on something like “WhatPulse.exe” or “WhatPul~1.exe” .etc. We’re now pointing TSearch and the program it wants to scan and edit. I’m not going to get into how you find addresses .etc as that’s a bitch of a tutorial all about TSearch, Artmoney .etc and I’ll do one of those seperately sometime. For now just follow my friendly instructions.

You need to create a new CHT file (CHT = Cheat perhaps?), this is also known as a filter. To do this, click the “Add New Cheat” button, it looks similar to the New Page button you’d find on word processors. A box, “New Cheat” will appear. Now you need to type in the following:
Description: Key Count
Address: 4609F0
Type: 4 Bytes
And click OK. Click the “Add New Cheat” button again and type the following in:Now you need to type in the following:
Description: Click Count
Address: 4609EC
Type: 4 Bytes
Click OK.

Now it’s a good idea at this point to right click the big W on the bottom right of your screen and click “Spawn Geek Dialog”. You’ll notice the numbers there are the same as the ones down the “Value” column on TSearch, try changing the numbers down the value column and there you have it, you can change it to any number you want! Sex’eh, eh?

A few notes:
- I don’t know weather this fell through or not but WhatPulse had planned on an anti-cheat group, check their forums perhaps?
- WhatPulse 1.5 is in BETA and will be out soon, it’s apparently much harder to cheat, I’ll try to keep up with it.
